This week we are delighted to announce the newest member of the Tended team - Matt Cummins!
Matt joins us as a Project Manager and will be in charge of flawlessly executing the integration of Tended’s geofencing system for our valued customers. Matt's previous experience with our technology team during the nationwide deployment of our social distancing solution has already proven him to be an exceptional asset to Tended. With his knowledge of and expertise in the way our technology works, Matt will continue to deliver remarkable results for our clients and we look forward to everything he's going to bring to the team!
We took five minutes out of the day to chat with Matt to help everyone get to know him a little better...
What will you be doing/be responsible for in your new role at Tended?
I will be working alongside the Client Implementation team to ensure that our end-users have the greatest possible experience integrating our geofencing technology into their projects.
How do you think the work Tended is doing will impact the railway industry?
I think technology is increasingly playing more of a role in the industry, Tended is playing a huge role in demonstrating how innovative tech can support the railway on its journey towards a safer future.
What are you most looking forward to about working at Tended?
Since I'm returning to Tended, I'm looking forward to once again working with such a talented and multifaceted team who are all laser-focused on delivering a quality product.
What motivates you at work?
I love collaborating with others and solving complex problems.
What’s going to be the most exciting part about your job?
There are lots of opportunities to contribute to the company mission here at Tended, I love having the ability to do impactful work and see how my ideas contribute to the bigger picture.
Do you have any pets?
I have a beautiful tabby cat called Misty!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm an avid hiker, most recently I walked 170 kilometres to complete the West Highland Way and summit Ben Nevis. I also love learning! The general fixation this year seems to have been space-orientated documentaries and books.
How would your friends describe you?
Last time I asked my friends this they said 'Enthusiastic', 'Curious' and 'Spontaneous'. Amazingly this has since been validated by my previous employer, who gave me an award for exemplary demonstration of enthusiasm in the workplace!
What’s something you’re proud of doing in your lifetime?
I'm glad to have visited Vietnam and Indonesia in my early twenties, but there is a lot more of the world to explore!
