"I founded Tended in 2017 after learning about the importance of employer duty of care during my time working in the non-profit sector, having spent several years in the management team of a charity providing education to children in Nepal’s poorest communities.
"After the 2015 Nepal earthquakes, I was thrown into a position of being responsible for a team of 40 volunteers delivering emergency aid to 30,000 families over an 8-month period.
"During this time, we experienced life-threatening events including aftershocks, landslides, and even ambushes. It was this experience that led me to understand the emotional importance of workplace safety and how no one should ever fear not returning home to their loved ones.
"I'm shocked that in today's society, people have their safety jeopardised every day. Nobody should have to work with that fear, which is why we're using innovation to make a difference across work environments."
