Does the technology track workers?
Our system is only designed to keep workers safe, not to track them. Specific employee location data cannot be monitored by the employer, protecting the privacy of workers. For more information, visit our employee privacy page.
For what kind of work can geofencing improve safety?
Tended’s geofencing system can be applied to improve safety for any kind of work on or near the line, lineside jobs or working in a possession where teams need to be kept within a particular area to stay safe. For an in-depth look at how to apply geofencing, download our guide.
Can I use this solution for short-term projects/on an ad hoc basis?
Tended’s geofencing system can be hired for any duration, be it long-term projects, short-term projects or on an ad-hoc basis. Get in touch with us to discuss your specific requirements.
Who plans the worksites on the Dashboard?
Initially Tended's implementation team will guide organisations through just how easy it is to plan worksites on the Dashboard, and then hand this over to the organisation (likely the Planner) to manage. Our team are always on hand to provide any assistance. For more information, see how to get started on the Dashboard.
What is the battery life of the Wearable like?
On a full charge, the battery life should last around 12 hours, but this can be shorter when working in areas with poor signal. It takes 6-8 hours for the Wearable to fully charge. To see more product details, take a look at the Wearable specification.
