From a mission in the field to industry-changing technology
A mission born in the field
Tended was founded in 2017 by Leo Scott Smith, inspired by his experience leading emergency aid teams in Nepal after the 2015 earthquakes, where he saw firsthand the human impact of safety in high-risk environments.
Facing aftershocks, landslides and other life-threatening events, he saw how deeply safety impacts every individual and their loved ones. This experience led to the founding of Tended, driven by a core purpose of preventing avoidable accidents and ensuring everyone gets home safe every day.
An industry-changing safety system
That purpose has stayed the same but the way we deliver it has grown. we've worked closely with our customers and evolved our technology to solve the real-world challenges they face on site.
Today, Tended works with industry leaders across the rail industry, both in the UK and beyond. We're helping these organisations not only keep their people safer, but also create better ways of working to achieve greater efficiency and cost savings across their operations.
