Tended
Separated working

Situational awareness for teams working separated

Give teams greater awareness of their surroundings through contextual guidance and alerting. Tended helps workers understand where they are, know when conditions change and make safer decisions.

Human factors

Technology that works with people

Even the most experienced people have moments when they get distracted, fatigued or misinterpret information. With virtual safe zones in place, a device alert acts as a digital reminder if someone crosses the boundary, supporting them in the moments it's needed.

SUPPORT AROUND HAZARDS

Helping people stay clear of hazards

If someone gets too close to a hazard, a device alert and on-screen context show them what's happening and prompt them to move to a position of safety.

Distance from the line

Safer working at every distance from the line

On or near the line

Help teams maintain a safe distance from open lines during ALO works or other activities conducted within 3m of the line. Geofences are mapped in line with the position of safety in the safe work pack, and device alerts notify individuals if they cross the boundary.

Lineside

Support lineside works such as vegetation management with geofences that help teams stay at least 3m from the nearest running rail.  This means teams don't become on or near the line, which can remove the need for railway-specific competencies.

Off track

For off-track works, geofencing can remove the need for physical barriers, saving the time and cost of setting them up. Teams are notified if they cross the geofence boundary, helping them stay clear of the railway.

Site awareness

Support teams in challenging environments

With geofencing acting as an additional step in team safety, you can support teams in complex or unfamiliar work environments, reducing the reliance on signage, visibility or memory.

Digital briefings

Clearer briefings before anyone steps on site

Bring safe work packs to life by viewing planned geofences directly on high-resolution aerial imagery during pre-work briefings. Give teams a clear, shared visual of their designated safe work zones, hazard boundaries and authorised access routes so everyone understands their limits before work begins.
